Backyard Fun
Left leg, lower shin, is a nice batch of light colored skin. Before the skin was made a light color, there was a smooth shin that had feeling to the touch. Summer days are filled with messing around but setting up a ladder should not be seen as messing around. The ladder was being put together for a way to get into the backyard pool. I was the dare devil to test it, but the third step up, the ladder fell from underneath me, causing me to propel down. While my foot was sliding down the ladder, trying to find a place to land, the stepping bar of the ladder caught my shin and sliced a jagged piece of skin right off. Today my body has healed itself and the skin has grown back. No feeling is felt when touching the two inch scar but it is more noticeable as I get older and my skin begins to get tanner, but behind every scar there is a story to tell making it the mystery of my backyard fun.
